family fun at the park!!

ok, i know that everyone thinks their kids are cute, but my kids are for sure the cutest!

we had a family picnic at the park a couple weeks ago and my lovely photograher/aunt took a few very cool pics of the kids.... it was so nice to see family and to be in the fresh air.

i have entered myself into a craft fair in 3 weeks.....eeek! i have sooo much to do. it would be soooo much easier if i didnt have my 3 wonderful children constantly tugging at me. one of them always needs something!

oh but i love them! they are all just as sweet as can be...

anyways i am trying to decide if i want to target in on one particular customer. i can make a ton of different things, or more of the same one category. do i want to do baby and kid hats and apparel? do i want to add some adult stuff in also. or maybe an array of things, and take some custom orders. there is so much i want to do and not enough time! i do know that i would like to do some stuff for photographers. the cute novelty baby hats with fun ears and big over done crochet flowers and a few baby cocoons. omg! so much stuff and so little time!

i designed the tags for my work today on photobucket. ive decided to DIY it. of course i DIY everything! ill attatch the tag to some card stock and attatch to the items with ribbon. im also on a budget. so getting business cards made right now it not really an option. lol. darn economy!!

cant wait to post some of the things i have made to show everyone! ill take some pics this weekend!

my new sewing machine

my new sewing machine.....

So i just recently purchased my first sewing machine. The "Portable Sewing Mini" from someone on craigslist....

I only paid $15 for it. But I just researched and read some reviews about it. All the reviews I read were horrible.

"dont buy this product, it STINKS!" "this product is no good, dont waste your time and money"

I havent tryed it out yet, I also have never used a sewing machine. I was told that this is a great machine for beginners.

I purchased it to sew linings for my purses and bags. and to attatch fabric to crocheted pieces to make shirts for my daughters.

Ok, well I suppose I will try it out this weekend. If anyone has any idea how to use this machine or can send me a link to a how-to on a simple sewing machine lesson that would be great. I hope I can atleast do what I want with this machine, It will be just a simple purse lining. I have high hopes though.... Positive thinking can do wonders...
